In an incredible moment at Celtic Park on Saturday afternoon, the referee ignored a blatant foul on Celtic’s Greg Taylor which allowed Kilmarnock to get up the pitch and score an unlikely goal.

The bhoys were cruising 2-0 and looking to add to their lead when Greg Taylor was effectively pulled to the ground. Being in the stadium we can reveal the referee had his back to the incident and only saw things once Taylor had gone down. At which point you would hope his assistant would help him out.

As the boos rang out for not awarding the foul, Kilmarnock managed to get the ball back to front pretty quickly and slotted it home to make it 2-1.

The crowd was expecting VAR to intervene but it never came. The argument will be that too much play had passed between the unawarded foul and the goal.

The goal stood and Celtic went from being comfortable to having to manage the game.

Thankfully, Greg Taylor got on the end of a Daizen flick on from a corner kick and made it 3-1 to secure the game.
