RYAN CHRISTIE took the plaudits for his hat-trick but on the day the performances all over the pitch were fantastic. From a debuting Elhamed to Bongoli firing down the left side; it was a great day.
Goal scorers Ryan Christie (3), Mikey Johnston, Odsonne Edouard, Olivier Ntcham and Leigh Griffiths gave the fans every reason to be very excited about the season ahead. It wasn’t just the score line but the manner in which Celtic went about their business.
Fluid, the link up play from the front four also a delight to watch. Edouard at his best and even Ntcham running around like a man possessed.
It was a great way to celebrate flag day and make a statement of intent. Neil Lennon will be happy with his side’s performance.
Ryan Christie looks like he’s ready to have a standout season in the Hoops after this time last year when his Celtic career looked bleak.
