Celtic has temporarily extended their lead at the top of the table to five points—seven clear of Rangers—following a thrilling 2-1 victory over Motherwell.
The match seemed to tilt in Celtic’s favour in the 87th minute when Palma executed a sublime shot into the bottom corner, appearing to seal the game for the Hoops. However, the drama was far from over.
Motherwell responded vehemently, believing they had snatched a point from Celtic when Spittal found the net in the 95th minute, igniting hopes of a drawn game.
The rollercoaster of emotions reached its peak just a minute later, as Matt O’Riley countered swiftly, connecting with Greg Taylor’s precise pass and striking true, ensuring a 2-1 triumph for Celtic.
Post-match, the limelight was firmly on the goal scorers as they led the celebrations, with Kyogo unusually opting for a more subdued role in the revelries.
