Celtic captain Callum McGregor has given the Hoops an incredible 6-0 lead against Dundee.

In what has undoubtedly been the Hoops’ best half of football this season, McGregor scored with a left-footed shot in the centre of the box after a one-two with Greg Taylor in the 51st minute of first-half added time.

McGregor added to what has been a first half that not many would have predicted before the game.

Celtic are clearly beginning to fire on all fronts despite doubts over the Hoops’ ability to retain the Scottish Premiership from some quarters.

Brendan Rodgers’ second spell may have come into question after failing to retain the League Cup and falling two points behind Rangers a fortnight ago following a disappointing 1-1 draw against Kilmarnock at Celtic Park.

However, the Irishman’s wealth of experience as a manager will certainly prove crucial in the business end of the season.

Rodgers may have been under some pressure in recent weeks, but tonight’s display is a hit back to all of what his Celtic side, at their best, are capable of.
