For some reason, Ryan Christie is still answering questions about a red card he got over three weeks ago. Red cards are a part of football. When a ref gets it right and it is a straight red card as Ryan Christie’s was, it doesn’t make for great viewing but they happen.

I can’t think of a red card that has got so much attention, the player on the wrong end of the tackle stayed on the park, he accepted Ryan’s apology but still, the player faces questions from the Scottish media.

Some players pick up four red cards in a season and they don’t get this much coverage. The big thing from this incident seems to be that the midfielders decision to pull down his Twitter account after the game. Watch below as he explains why.

It is very understandable that a player would want to come out of the limelight after an out of character tackle and the reaction to it. Twitter is a hard place to survive if you are not smelling of roses, people can say what they want to who they want 24/7. Why anyone would not want to hit the off switch to such trolls is probably harder to understand than the Celtic’s players actions.

After a suspension the weekend the Scotland international will be hoping he gets a chance to get back to doing what he does best tonight against Lazio.
