CELTIC have been linked to a few Joe Hart replacements, with the most recent one being Real Madrid shot-stopper Andriy Lunin.

He looked like he was set to play a more significant role in the Los Blancos side this season, with the injury to Courtois, but he hasn’t played a single minute since his replacement Kepa, formally of Chelsea, was brought in.

Lunin was keen for a move away in the summer, frustrated with the lack of minutes he was getting. Obviously, nothing came to frustration, and a move away could come in January or the summer when his contract expires.

The Ukrainian internationalist was once tipped to be one of the next big things, but at 24 years old, it hasn’t worked out like that just yet.

When speaking on a possible transfer exit, the goalie remained tight lipped, not giving too much away. Speaking on Chiringuito, translated and quoted by Madrid Xtra, he said:

“At the end of last season I was thinking about it [leaving]. It’s normal when you don’t play.

“But Real Madrid has always been a dream since I was young, you don’t really want to leave. But you always want to play, you train to play, you want to feel the emotions of the games… we will see, now I’m focused on training.

“There were offers from other clubs but I didn’t talk to them, there was nothing serious.”
