Since his arrival at Celtic, Ange Postecoglou has rarely humoured the pundits who often cater to the Glasgow club‘s blue half.

This week, however, the situation reached a new level of absurdity when VAR denied the Hoops a stonewall penalty at Ibrox. Upon being presented with the footage, even the Rangersminded fans and pundits could not deny Connor Goldson‘s illegal handball.

The reaction to Ange‘s comments on the matter has been an interesting one. Critics have resorted to trying to discredit the suggestion of a conspiracy against Celtic, or by citing a makeshift version of the IFAB handball rule.

Both methods are little more than attempts to distract from the facts of the incident. It is clear that the Hoops were wronged in this case, as Ange made clear on Friday.

His team has had to overcome several obstacles this season, from unfortunate VAR calls to poor handball decisions, and still managed to come out on top. For many, Ange‘s comments hit too close to home

The empty vessels who try to push their narrative on the rest of us have been angered by the Celtic manager‘s refusal to take the high road on this issue. His willingness to get his hands dirty has put him at odds with those who are used to having their words go unchallenged.

It is no surprise, then, that Ange‘s words have caused such a stir. His refusal to be silenced has made it clear that he will not be cowed, and it is a stance that should be respected.

How dare the Celtic manager stick up for Celtic!

  1. Agree with everything you say, apart from the last piece. I believe it has got to the stage now where Ange should be pointing out these joke decisions against us every time they happen.

  2. It wasn’t given, never expected it to be given (even after Golam had called the Dorsb to look at it again)

Celtic have to move on, will bel lots of honest mistakes to be made (both by Var and on-field refs) Could not snowbaw this call any further

It may mean no calls at all for the Hoops.

Unless it’s against another Celtic player, if this continues to occur. Celtic should have the right to walk off the field.

Then get independent advice and take the systems abuse to fifa court.

No more should Celtic be blinded, and should stand up against abuse, in all its twisted forms.

Whether they lose points or not.

Make a stand for the better, make it stand out. As no one in Scotland cares.
