DAIZEN MAEDA looks to be on his way to Glasgow with his current club lining up a replacement for the striker. Maeda is one of the three Japanese players that have been heavily linked to Celtic over the past number of weeks.

The J-League top scorer is set to reunite with Ange Postecoglou, his former boss. This will benefit the pair as they will both have a great understanding of each other meaning Maeda will not have to adapt to a new style of play.

Yahoo Japan is reporting that Yokohama F Marinos will complete a deal that will see Nishimura join the club when the window opens on the 10th of January.

Although there has been no confirmation that Celtic have agreed on anything with Maeda or his club, the fact that Yokohama is lining up a replacement suggests that the deal is all but done.

The J-League is an exciting new market that Celtic are exploring, with many bargains to be found.
