Celtic are looking to bring in one more striker before next weeks transfer deadline and they have been alerted to Libor Kozak’s availability from Aston Villa.

The 26-year-old striker has been told he is surplus to requirements at Villa after only two seasons.

He has managed just 5 goals since his £7million move from Lazio but a leg break in his first season along with injury complications in his second meant he had little to no game time.

It’s unclear yet if Celtic are willing to gamble on the players fitness but it could be a relatively low cost move for the club.

The Czech striker has 8 caps to his name and has spent time out on-loan at Brescia before his move to Villa.

He has hardly been prolific in his career and does not look like the answer for Celtic. Although he would be a straight swap replacement for Scepovic if Celtic manage to sell the Parkhead flop before next week.
