CELTIC MIDFIELDER Scott Allan is heading for a Celtic summer exit when he returns from his loan spell at Rotherham.

The Celtic midfielder has managed only 17 appearances in a Celtic shirt; most of which have came from the bench.

The player hasn’t even managed as many appearances in a Rotherham jersey than he has in a Celtic one and will certainly not be turning that deal permanent.

It has been reported by a number of outlets that Neil Lennon and Hibernian are looking to bring the midfielder back to where he enjoyed perhaps his best run of form.

Neil hasn’t been shy at using his Celtic connections to date and will feel he has the jump on anyone other club who wish to acquire Scott’s services.

Many Celtic fans feel that Scott hasn’t had a fair crack at the whip since joining Celtic and when he has played, he’s shown glimpses of what he could do.

He has had several managers now, even at Rotherham who have questioned Scott’s attitude and application on a daily basis. This could be the real thing holding him back.

What’s certain is the player will want to move on in first team football and Brendan Rodgers wants to trim his oversized squad.

  1. The lad has got the talent and just needed a run of games to show his true worth. It’s hard on kids when they’re tempted away from other clubs only to be sidelined. Soul-destroying, no wonder they’ve no confidence. GMS is another, sound when he came to us and now his touch has left him cos of the pressure to prove himself.

  2. Quite clearly theres talent there.but it became clear quite quickly that his signing was nothing more than a get it up you to sevco
