Ronny Deila was very complimentary of FC Astra at his Wednesday press conference.
The Celtic manager praised the high quality of the Europa League teams and although Astra haven’t had the best start to the competition, Deila thinks they will be more than a handful come Thursday night.
“If they were playing in the Scottish League they would be at the top and that’s the level we are going to meet tomorrow.” Said Deila.
Hamilton Accies currently top the SPFL table so Ronny must think Astra would give the Accies a run for their money.
Hopefully Celtic will manage 3 points against their Europa League opponents after failing to get any points against Hamilton at home at the start of the month.
FC Astra have not been on the best run of form since they beat Lyon in August and have replaced their head coach since then.
Celtic should really be winning this game at home.
