Thierry Henry was asked if he would be interested in taking on the Celtic job and the Frenchman certainly didn’t say no to the idea.

Henry, a legend in the game says he has a lot of respect for the Hoops and mentions he wants to get back into management.

“With all humility, whatever is going to come my way, I’m not saying that should come my way, but whatever comes my way I’m going to evaluate.” Henry told RecordSport.

“I’m sure they’re going to work on what they’re going to work on. I don’t know what’s happening there, this is a club I respect a lot I’m sure like a lot of people in the world, but that I don’t know about.

“All I know is I want to coach and be back out there. You look at what Steve G done, and it’s just ridiculous.”

Henry was the Belgium assistant boss before taking the position at Monaco where he was ultimately sacked and most recently he’s been at MLS side Montreal Impact.

Celtic appointing a managerial novice and waiting three seasons for success doesn’t sound that appealing and it won’t be to many fans.

I’d take him as a striker still!

The management rumours continue with the club seemingly not closer to appointing their new man. It might be frustrating but it might just be an indication they’re doing their due diligence on all candidates to make sure they get this appointment spot on.

The news season kicks off in the third week of July for the Hoops, so there really needs to be movement sooner rather than later.
