A complete and utter steal, those are the words of Sam Rourke, Founder/Chief Editor footballleagueworld.co.uk if Celtic do manage to land Matt O’Riley from MK Dons for £1.5m.
That’s what The Athletic have suggested on Wednesday.
Matt is a former Fulham player who signed for MK Dons in January last year. Since his move to the lower league side, he’s put on a midfield clinic and has caught the attention of not only Celtic scouts but clubs further afield.
As we always do when Celtic is linked with a player, we delve into things and see what we can find. Sam’s glowing report below claiming the fee would be a steal is exciting.
Celtic signing Matt O'Riley for just £1.5m is a complete and utter steal. He's a star.#Celtic #MKDons

The testimony on the player on Quest Sport is also very interesting.
A glowing report of Matt O’Riley 👍

Ange has been on the lookout for another central midfielder and believes it’s a position he really needs to be reinforced.
He tried to land Riley McGree but the Australian chose Middlesbrough over Celtic in the end up.
Matt looks set to benefit from that snub and could be a Celtic player within days.
