This will be one for the pub quizzes in ten years time but today a little bit of history was made when Celtic won a penalty against St Gallen in Switzerland with the referee using VAR.

This is the club’s first brush with the VAR and converted a free kick given by the referee into a penalty! It’s a shame big Odsonne Edouard missed it!

Celtic’s tour of Austria and Switzerland has been productive with plenty of minutes for the bhoys. Two new Celts in Christoper Jullien and Luca Connell also joined the bhoys during the tour.

With Celtic’s first qualifier for the Champions League coming up on July 9 the team are as ready as can be considering the short turnover.

With no right back coming in this far it looks like Ralston will take his place against Sarajevo along with Johnny Hayes at the other side with Kieran Tierney still out injured.

Here’s hoping VAR is kind to us in the future!
