CELTIC FANS have renewed their calls to keep Filip Benkovic at the club beyond this season after the big man posted a message to social media.
The Croatian is currently out until at least March with an injury, but as he looks to get back to full fitness to help Celtic with their final push for silverware this season, he has again shown how much the club has got to him since coming to Glasgow.
Taking to Instagram, the defender posted a picture of himself at the League Cup Final with the fans behind him and used the tagline ‘A way of life’.
Filip has bought into Celtic in a big way since making the loan switch from Leicester, but the player’s affiliation with the club looks likely to end in May when the season comes to a close.
With the money Leicester paid for the defender (€11million), it’s doubtful a deal could be reached for his services. If we were told it was all up to the player himself, there’s a big chance he’d stay for another while, but it’s unfortunate it’s out of his and the fans hands.
