This match comes at a crucial time for Brendan Rodgers’ side, who haven’t really kicked into gear this season. Although, they have already won at Pittodrie as well as beating the Dins 6-0 at Parkead.

Aberdeen has announced the dismissal of their management team, headed by former Celtic midfielder Barry Robson. Robson, who initially took over as interim manager in early 2023, led the team through a decent run in the second half of last season, earning him the permanent manager role.

Aberdeen achieved a third-place finish in the Scottish Premiership and qualification for the UEFA Europa Conference League group stages.

Celtic will be hoping that Aberdeen don’t get a new manager bounce at the weekend ahead of a midweek trip to Easter Road followed by a Scottish Cup tie against St Mirren on Sunday.
