CELTIC Reserves played a closed door game against Stenhousemuir on Tuesday night and there were several talking points as Celtic thrashed the visitors 6-0 at Lennoxtown.

It took Leigh Griffiths less than 15 minutes to bag two goals for the bhoys, but that was just one talking point.

The Celtic striker looks to be completing his final preparation before heading back into the first team where he’s not been seen since late August.

Elsewhere in the team, Liam Burt, the new bhoy who signed from The Rangers in the summer scored a hat-trick on the night to give Neil Lennon food for thought.

Irishman Jonathan Afolabi also played his first game since early last month after the attacker suffered and injury training with the Ireland under 21 squad.

Here was the full team on the night.

Starting XI- Mullen: Savoury, Hendry, Church, Paterson, McKay, Robertson, Burt, Harper, Afolabi, Griffiths

Subs: Smith, Murray, Mazis, McRobb, McBride,

The goals coming from Leigh Griffiths x2, Liam Burt x3 and Cameron Harper.
