KRISTOFFER AJER did little in the way of telling his agent off for his comments which were made right before the Glasgow Derby last month.

The Norwegian’s agent claimed the player would seek a Celtic Park exit in the summer with the player having no intention of signing a new Celtic deal.

Speaking today to a Norwegian TV station, the Celtic defender was asked about his future amid his agents comments.

He did nothing to quell his agents claims and claims he doesn’t pay attention to what the media writes with no self awareness his agent fed the media headlines.

“I have two years left of the contract and do not focus on my future at all. What the media writes, I don’t focus on it.” Ajer told FVN as cited by RecordSport.

Celtic brought Ajer in under Ronny Deila and the club have done very well at bringing his game to another level. He’s still very rough around the edges and that’s why many supporters were surprised when his agent was talking up a move away.

It’s a shame, because the connection between Ajer and the support had been good. When football does resume and Ajer makes any mistakes, his agent has put him in a position to be heavily criticised.
