Top journo Alan Nixon has added some meat to the bone when it comes to Celtic’s pursuit of Manchester City man, Taylor Harwood-Bellis.

The rumours broke last week the club were looking into a potential move for the English centre-back who spent time out on loan to Stoke City last season.

The defender is highly rated and has been capped 7 times for England at under 21 level.

Because Celtic now have Mark Lawwell at the club to help Ange with recruitment, it was always going to be the case we’d be linked with some more Man City players this summer.

However, Nixon claims there is 100% an interest from Celtic’s side but nothing is being rushed.

Celtic have the luxury of a long pre-season thanks to automatically qualifying for the Champions League. They can take their time when it comes to bringing players into the fold with pre-season training not beginning until June 27.

The Hoops will be looking for a new centre-back if they can’t secure CCV to a deal. However – even if the do manage to land their loan bhoy a Christopher Jullien exit could pave the way for another player to come in.

Taylor Harwood-Bellis would likely come in as a loan deal.
