Former Manchester United boss Sir Alex Ferguson has heavily praised rumoured Celtic managerial target, Eddie Howe.

Sir Alex, who of course, has one of the best reputations in the game due to his incredible success over his illustrious career has named checked Howe as one of the best young managers out there, in an interview with Sport Bible.

Despite eventually being relegated in his time at Bournemouth in the Premier League that didn’t stop the former United man from praising how impressive a job he did there.

“On young managers, Eddie Howe had a great period at Bournemouth, for a young manager.

“I think he did very well even though he’s relegated it doesn’t mean to say he’s not a good manager, I think he is a good manager.”

For weeks now, we have been awaiting more news on the appointment of the next permanent Celtic manager that will be taking to the dugout next season.

All the rumours and speculation appear to be headed for Howe becoming the next boss, but with his big reputation as a top young coach down south, there is always the worry without the deal being officially over the line, another side could step in.

Fingers crossed that is not the case and we get to see the Englishman’s qualities for ourselves, managing the Hoops next season.
