Alex Rae has broke ranks to declare Neil Lennon as HIS Premier League manager of the season. Now don’t get us started about Rae happy to give out opinions before the season is over! We thought he was sensitive about stuff like that happening.
However, the Ibrox cheerleader had no choice but to give it to Neil Lennon. The manager came back in and was given the permanent job after finishing off the treble treble.
What’s more hilarious is that RangersTV posted an image seconds after Lennon was confirmed as boss asking their fans if they were excited about the new season. How did that pan out?
Neil Lennon’s Celtic have only dropped TEN points this season over 30 games and would need to drop at least that in the last eight games to lose the title.
Rae surprisingly acknowledges Neil Lennon. Of course, it’s obviously Neil Lennon but we’ve seen others cop out before.
“I think it’s a no-brainer. The level of consistency his team have shown throughout the year has been impressive.” Rae told SunSport.
“There was obviously a couple of other candidates who have been brilliant, one of those being Stephen Robinson. He’s worked absolute wonders at Motherwell when you look at the level of players he’s bringing to the club with very little finances.
“I also like what Gary Holt’s done at Livingston. To get them in the top half of the table with the one of the smallest budgets in the division is brilliant.
“But there has to be one winner and I’m going for Neil Lennon.”
Alex Rae picked Odsonne Edouard as his player of the season too! It was only earlier this season Rae was adamant Morelos was better.(Evening Times)
