Following Celtic’s 7-1 thrashing of Dundee on Wednesday night, many players including Yang and Matt O’Riley took to Instagram.
Greg Taylor has been the latest to do so, the full-back making a post late on Thursday afternoon after he scored and got two assists the night before:
The 26-year-old provided the cross for O’Riley’s diving header while also teeing up Callum McGregor for his left-footed strike deep into first-half stoppage time. He turned scorer, too, tapping home at the back post after Alistair Johnston’s cross took a looping deflection.
To Taylor’s post on Instagram, Johnston responded, quipping ‘my wee left-back’. The Scotland internationalist then promptly hit back, saying ‘less of the wee’:
The pair seem to enjoy quite the friendship off the park. Johnston and Taylor are both equally as chatty and are dependable full-backs for manager Brendan Rodgers.
They have experienced their respective injury issues this season but for the run-in, having the pair fit and raring to go is crucial and no more proof was put to that than on Wednesday when the duo stood out.
