As the season has gone on, the Celtic squad has become a lot stronger when compared to their opening game of the season. With the help of some further additions, the team looks unstoppable at the moment.

In the Aberdeen pre-match press conference, a journalist brought to light an incredible stat. For the last 1,350 minutes of football, the hoops have only been trailing for 1 minute. This was, of course, in Celtic’s cup final win. In response to this, Postecoglou joked; [Scotsman]

“I don’t know how sad your life is to be looking up stats like that, mate,”

Then he reflected on the astonishing stat;

“Look, I think it is an indication of our form over the last couple of months – possibly longer, to be honest. I think the key thing for us is not to get too sidetracked about what’s happened in the past.

We’ve been really good at focusing on our next challenge and making sure we are at our best. I think when you do that your performance level doesn’t drop, if anything it keeps improving.

Then you are really putting pressure on your opponents. Among all players, all teams, there is the propensity to have an off day, or a day when you are not at it. We haven’t had any of those. Even the games that have been tight, I still think we have given a good account of ourselves.

To have been able to maintain that gives you those kind of statistics.”

Celtic are on an incredible run of form, going 15 games unbeaten. It is a testament to the work all of the coaching staff and players have put in since the new manager walked through the door in the summer.

The team is in a great place at the moment, top of the table and scoring goals. With players returning to the squad, Celtic’s run of form doesn’t look to be coming to an end soon.
