CARLO ANCELOTTI has praised the Celtic atmosphere after the fans made it hard for the visitors on Tuesday night.

The fans were great; the sell-out crowd was in early as they hoped for a result against the European Champions. They cheered their team on, from the first minute to the very last, despite being three goals down.

Even after the match, fans stayed behind to chant the Celtic manager’s name as he walked around the Park, thanking the brilliant support.

In the end, it wasn’t to be, and Carlo Ancelotti eventually got his first win at Celtic Park.

He praised the fans, admitting they made it difficult, saying; [Daily Record]

“I think so, this is a difficult stadium, fantastic atmosphere, they push a lot, the team, the supporters, it was nice for us to play well here, and to win.”

The Bhoys will need the support in their remaining home matches against RB Leipzig and Shakhtar Donetsk.

With the aim to finish second, these games could be crucial for the Hoops. We will need to pick up some points away from home, starting next week on Matchday 2, when we travel to Poland to face Shakhtar Donetsk.

We want to see the fans being praised and the team getting some wins!
