What a start he had at Celtic, but Liel Abada needs some time out of the spotlight.
Many believe the Celtic youngster has gone off the boil and needs some time on the bench.
When Liel was signed for Celtic, you had groans from many believing he was another project – however, after his first couple of games, the Hoops fans were elated with his contributions. The Israeli hit the ground running and really gave us some fresh impetus in the earlier days of Ange’s Celtic side.
There’s no denying the 20-year-old has not been as influential in recent times, and with the emergence of James Forrest from injury, it’s time to let the winger take a breath and let him rediscover his form on the training ground.
Jota has really stolen the limelight from Abada, and rightly so, the Portuguese star is more consistent and has contributed much more over the last few months.
Abada will have his say on this Celtic season and more to come, but sometimes the best thing for a young player is to go away and work on their game and come back with fresh hunger and desire.
