DAVID MARTINDALE used his pre-match press conference ahead of a match against Rangers to tell journalists he wouldn’t mind getting rid of Ange Postecoglou.

Martindale continued an ongoing joke about Celtic’s competitors driving the Australian to Leeds. The Livingston boss chimed in with he also sent Ange’s CV to Leeds after failing to get the better of the Celtic manager this season.

Although it was said in a joking manner, we all know that there is often truth behind jokes. People wanting rid of Ange is very much the truth.

Ange Postecoglou

Speaking ahead of his tie against Rangers, Martindale told SunSport:

“We kind of know how Rangers will play but I kind of know how Ange is going to play as well – I still can’t stop him!

“I actually put his CV into Leeds!

“I saw Ally McCoist saying he would drive him down but I called him and said I’ll half him for a business class air ticket!”

Ange’s ability to create a team that is capable of dominating the competition and his impressive tactical acumen have made him popular among Celtic fans, but not elsewhere.

David would love to see the back of the Celtic manager. Not only does his team dominate, but when it comes to verbal sparring in the press room. He is three steps ahead of everyone else.

  1. It’s actually quite funny, Martindale saying/doing(?) that, shows how impressed he and them are with Celtic.

It’s good they can see the funny side of it despite being mowed over repeatedly by Ange’s Celtic juggernaut
