ANGE POSTECOGLOU spoke very well on Friday afternoon ahead of the West Ham game when questioned about different facets of the club.

The Australian has been plugging away behind the scenes as he tries to get Celtic ready for the season ahead.

Speaking to Sky Sports, the Celtic gaffer was asked how involved he was in transfer dealings and other parts of the club that don’t involve the playing staff.

His response should put a lot of Celtic fans’ mind at ease.

“Anything I take responsibility for I’m going to make sure I have input into and have a say

“Ultimately that’s the most important thing and that’s part of people getting to know me.

“That they clearly understand I want to be involved in everything, I want to make sure I’m in charge of everything but also know that I’ll take responsibility – good or bad for the outcomes of it.”

There has been times over the years when Celtic fans have asked who is pulling the strings and how much autonomy the manager has.

Ange doesn’t seem passive at all and does recognise if he’s going to live and die by the decisions made at the club then he has to be part of it.

Lesser managers would allow things to go on without their knowledge or relinquish a certain amount of power to accept the job in the first place.

Ange has yet to conduct an interview where he hasn’t come out of it well as the Celtic manager.

  1. I was happy at the idea of Eddie Howe..good coach but no passion for Celtic. Ange is a stronger personality…all he needs is luck with the playing staff and Celtic will rule Scotland again..
