Ange Postecoglou is proud of his side after they fought hard to return to Glasgow with all three points.

It was a difficult afternoon in the highlands, but the Hoops dug deep and finished the match two goals to the good.

On an afternoon with difficult conditions, three different Celts got on the scoresheet, with Moritz Jenz scoring in his first Celtic start. Kyogo and Abada also netted, both opening their scoring accounts for the new season.

Ange Postecoglou was positive after the game, revealing he was pleased with his side overcoming the challenge thrown at them during the 3 pm kick-off.

Speaking to Celtic TV, the Celtic manager said;

“I thought we played really well today; it’s a difficult place to come. It was windy today; they’re a physical team.

“Really proud of the players; they stuck to the task. I thought we dominated the game in just about every aspect.

“They go up once for the corner and score, but you just have to see our reaction to know the spirit we had last year is still well within this group.”

Headache for Ange Postecoglou

It was an all-around good performance from the Hoops, but it leaves Ange with a selection headache. There were calls for Giakouamkis to lead the line today, but the manager opted to go with Kyogo.

Now, there are fresh calls for Jota to start on the left rather than the right. This would see Maeda drop to the bench and Abada start on the right.
