SEAD HAKSABANOVIC joined Celtic on Thursday following months of rumours linking the player to the Scottish champions. The announcement came in the morning, with it being revealed he’ll wear the number 9 shirt.

The Celtic boss has admitted that the playmaker, as he described himself, won’t be available for the weekend as he gets up to speed after an unsettling preseason. Postecoglou talked up the player in his interview with Sky Sports but did warn that the coaches would have some work to do with the player.

“No, he won’t be. We’ll do some work with him. Great to have him in and part of the group. I think that he’ll be a real asset to us with what is ahead.

“He is a quality player, at a good age for us. We’ll get him up to speed first and hopefully be available over the coming weeks.”

The player will add great quality to the Celtic side and contribute to the quality depth. It’s unclear whether Ange has brought him in start most games or to provide backup to the dit and firing forward line.

As Ange said, he’s at a good age and is nearing his peak years as a footballer. He’ll be a threat to oppositions both in Scotland and in Europe.
