Arsenal legend Patrick Viera took to his twitter last night to congratulate on-loan Celtic defender Jason Denayer on earning his first international cap with Belgium.
Viera who oversees youth development at Denayer’s parent club Manchester City was delighted for the defender who has been a revelation at Celtic this season.
Congratulations to @Jasondenayer on his first cap for Belgium. The feeling of pride when you play for your national team never leaves you

Jason has since credited his first cap for Belgium to Celtic and manager Ronny Deila for helping him flourish this season. He is likely to win Celtic’s young player of the year which would be well deserved.
There is much speculation about the players immediate future beyond the summer. Celtic would like to keep him on-loan for another season if Man City aren’t going to call him up to the first team but it remains to be seen if Celtic can hold on to the defender.
