Celtic manager Brendan Rodgers has refused to rule out Daniel Arzani staying at Celtic to be treated for his ACL injury with many speculating he would head back to Manchester City to begin treatment but the Celtic manager admits things are up in the air at present.

The problem for Celtic at the moment, while they’re 99% sure of his injury until he gets a new scan on Monday they cannot know what they’re dealing with for sure.

The player’s leg has been so swollen they have not been able to get an accurate scan to this point.

Nonetheless, the manager will get together with the player and his representatives to thrash out what will be best for the young Australian sensation.

“We’ll assess what’s best for Daniel, we still have to go through the last part of his scan beginning of next week. Then a plan will be put in place.” Rodgers admitted.

With Celtic having Arzani on a two-year deal there is still a very good potential that Arzani could play his part next season.

However, parent club Manchester City might want to be the ones to bring him back to full fitness before sending him back up to Glasgow.

The player would benefit from Celtic’s first class medical staff here and also benefit from being around the bhoys.
