Japanese based journalist Dan Orlowitz has posted a brilliant reply to a question surrounding the money paid for Celtic’s three new Japanese bhoys.

CeltsAreHere.com understands the final fee for Daizen Maeda will be £1.7m. There’s a compulsory clause to make the striker’s loan deal permanent in the summer.

Reo Hatate has been brought in for around £1m, if not just a little bit shy of that number and Yosuke Ideguchi was purchased for £850k.

Dan has been great at giving Celtic fans the inside scoop on the J-League and he believes two of the three signings are day light robbery.

Celtic look to have grabbed some great bargains from the J-League. Young, hungry players who want to prove they can make it in European football.

The bhoys in green will welcome them with open arms over the coming days as they jet in to begin training with this Celtic side.

A big well done to the Celtic board and Michael Nicholson getting these players through the door at the earliest possible opportunity. It’s not something Celtic fans have been used to when it comes to transfer dealings. Given the small outlay on each player and Ange’s desire to have them in Glasgow, it was a no brainer.

  1. A month ago Michael Nicholson was merely a boardroom yes man, a Peter Lawwell (who doesn’t even work there) appointment that would signify no change, same old Tory values. Spring forward a few weeks and the fickle bloggers and media now have him as a man of integrity because he’s spent just over £3m on three players! You couldn’t make it up. No wonder I only view these sorts of pages as nothing more than light entertainment. Not to be taken remotely seriously.
