HAPOEL BE’ER SHEVA boss has confirmed he’s resigned to losing his centre back as Celtic close in on Hatem Abd Elhamed.

The player is expected to become a Celtic player very shortly with the club’s thrashing out a £1.6m deal for the player according to SunSport.

The defender who can also play right back looks to be Neil Lennon’s fourth summer signing when it finally goes through and Hapoel boss Barak Bakhar conceded this was the natural next step for the player.

“It’s natural that Hatem will go to a big club like Celtic that pays him a lot of money.” he told SunSport.

Celtic missed the deadline to register the player for the next round and would now have to use their one wildcard option to be able to play against Kalju in the first or second leg.

It appears if Hatem is now waiting on the green light from Celtic to complete the move to Glasgow.

Celtic have brought in three players so far in Christopher Jullien, Boli Bolingoli and Luca Connell.
