The Scottish Lowland Football League has decided to call time on their season due to the current shutdown which shows no signs of ending.

That means former Ibrox player Barry Ferguson and his side Kelty Hearts have been crowned champions in a statement by the SLFL.

The current situation engulfing the Scottish game is how to end the season if the game can’t restart for a long period of time.

The Rangers have been kicking and screaming about wanting the prize money with no titles being handed out.

Celtic have made their position clear and would like to see the season come to a conclusion on the field. However, failing that, the outcome of the SLFL is the likeliest possibility.

One thing the SLFL have made clear is nobody would be relegated as a result of this crisis — something the SPFL might want to give some serious consideration.

Meetings on a way forward are likely to be going on all this week.
