Bodo/Glimt boss Kjetil Knutsen has opened up on his concern after his sides final friendly fixture before they head for Glasgow in next week’s Europa Conference League tie.

With the Norweigan champions league campaign currently not underway, for the last few weeks, they have spent their time in Spain over pre-season in preparation for the two-legged tie against Ange Postecoglou’s side.

Their final friendly fixture took place yesterday, against Swedish side Elfsborg, with Bodo/Glimt coming out on top as 3-2 winners in the end.

However, as quoted by the Daily Record, Knutsen provided a firm response to his side’s performance, insisting that the same cannot happen when they travel to Parkhead next week, with the Hoops currently on top form.

“I have received answers to some things, and some individual players have given me answers, but it is not at the level I expected today. When we have structure, we look good, and it is why we lose the structure we have to look more at.

“That can not happen when we come out at Celtic Park next Thursday.

“It will be a completely different match and a completely different framework; now we will work well in the coming week and prepare for a team we have watched a lot. We are looking forward to two games against a big club.

“We must be at our highest level from the first to the last minute. When we are at our best, everyone is involved and does their best. When we are not, we fall through pretty quickly.”

When the draw was conducted several months ago, the tie between the two sides was seen as one which left many fans excited, with two up-and-coming sides set to face off.

Of course, since then, Bodo/Glimt have lost a number of key players in the January window, and Kjetil Knutsen has been tasked with building parts of his squad up once again.

Going into next Thursday, the Celtic support are excited at the prospect of knockout football returning to Parkhead, and it should prove to be an interesting matchup.

As we have seen in recent games such as the Glasgow Derby, Knutsen will know his side will have to be at their best going into this game, with the Celtic Park crowd right behind Ange Postecoglou and his players.
