Celtic faltered to a 2-1 defeat at the hands of Kilmarnock in the Scottish Premiership on Sunday afternoon. It was a disappointing loss for the Hoops which raised several concerns.

Post-match, manager Brendan Rodgers spoke to the media. He outlaid how his team must begin to gain consistency. He said (The Celtic Way): “At the moment it’s just about finding that consistency for the 90 minutes. We had 45 minutes away at St Johnstone when we weren’t so good, and in the second half, we were much better.

“We had a good game during the week. Today we continued with that in the first half – but you have to be much better than we were in the second half.”

It seems as though the Hoops cannot keep up with a constant level of performance. That will be of concern to Rodgers.

To win titles, a team must be consistent and continually win games. Although Sunday’s loss was the Hoops’ first of the season in the league, the level of worry surrounding the club is justified amid a crucial period in the season.

  1. The buck starts with Rodgers, especially when he’s been so inconsistent with his approach so far this season also?
Is his methods really benefiting the player’s at his disposal?
Not convinced at the moment, so maybe it’s something he needs to work on himself, than trying to play the blame game imo
