Cameron Carter-Vickers has been sensational for Celtic this season. The centre-back has helped put Celtic on the brink of a title many thought wasn’t possible.

Coming in very late on deadline day, Cameron went straight into the team and hasn’t looked back since. His strength and ability to read the game has been a massive boost for Celtic.

Even though he has been performing with Celtic, an international call-up to the USA squad has proved elusive this season. Many pundits believed it could be something that would put CCV off a permanent deal at the club if he’s not being recognised for his work in Glasgow.

Well, that’s all about to change!

The Washington Post report the Celtic defender will be part of the next US Camp in June where manager Gregg Berhalter will take a proper look at CCV.

The US boss is using the camp to fine tune his team ahead of games in September and the World Cup.

CCV hasn’t been part of the National set up since 2019 and he will have to make a big impression to get a call-up for September.

However, the proof is there he’s managed to catch the eye of his international coach by playing for Celtic and that should be another reason why the defender should stay put at the club behind this campaign. Signing Cameron on a permanent deal from Spurs would be a good piece of business as we look to kick on over the coming months.
