Cameron Carter-Vickers has sent a message out on Sunday evening expressing his disappointment having to come off at half time against Aberdeen.

The American international played the full first half but didn’t emerge from the Pittodrie tunnel for the second half. Stephen Welsh took his place in the side and the bhoys went about seeing the game out and making it three points on the road.

Brendan Rodgers told SkySports live after the game that the defender was taken off as a precaution after feeling a hamstring issue.

Celtic fans will be hoping that CCV will get the all clear for the League Cup tie next weekend. However, considering the game will be played on an artificial surface, CCV might get the day off.

Aberdeen gave Celtic a run for their money on Sunday in the second half. The bhoys had to weather a bit of a storm before finally putting the game to bed.
