CAMERON CARTER-VICKERS wore the armband for the second game running on Tuesday night.

It was the first time that the player had worn the captain’s armband in the Champions League, but if he keeps up performances like that, he’ll for sure be wearing one again.

He was superb from start to finish against the German side. Along with Moritz Jenz, the American put in a top-class performance and will be incredibly frustrated he was unable to leave the pitch with a clean sheet.

He showed how much he means to the side; his presence at the back was there for all to see. He commanded the back four superbly last night, and even under pressure, kept his cool. If only he was fit for the match in Germany last week.

Taking to Instagram, Cameron Carter-Vickers admitted it was a disappointing night, but admitted it was a special night on a personal level. Vowing to continue the hard work, the American posted;
