CAMERON CARTER-VICKERS has kept his cool when responding to comments made by Ibrox’s Fashion Sakala in the press over the past few days.

The Rangers man had claimed that his side was “far better” than the league leaders while disrespectfully naming the League Cup holders “the other mob”.

Sakala has no basis for these comments, especially when Celtic leads the league by a significant margin and has remained unbeaten against The Ramgers this season, thumping them 4-0 in the first meeting.

Carter-Vickers didn’t give the media any headlines as he responded cooly to Sakala’s comments. Remaining calm, he said: [Celtic TV]

“For me, I’ve got no problem with it. Every professional sportsman has to have some level of self belief to get to where they are. For me, it’s a normal comment for a professional sportsman to make.”

Sakala’s comments only put more pressure on his team; it’s idiotic to make the remarks that he did. Not only do the facts go against him, but his club also received similar comments from Giakoumakis last season, sending them into a meltdown. At least the Greek striker could back up what he said.
