CELTIC have announced the club have signed one of their top youth hopefuls on a three-year deal.

Scott Robertson has signed on the dotted line and will now use the next three years to make a breakthrough into the first team.

The teenage has been with Celtic for over ten years already, coming through the academy to the reserves and now the fringes of the first team.

Celtic have been looking to secure their top young talent, knowing full well they know what happens if they can’t get the business wrapped up swiftly.

The bhoys have lost two players to Bayern Munich in the past two seasons. Barry Hepburn and Liam Morrison both left Lennoxtown to take a place in the Bayern academY.

It’s very tough for fringe players to get the experience they need at the moment with a reserve league non-existent. Celtic pulled out of the reserve setup two seasons ago and since then the game the youngsters get are sporadic.

A loan might be on the horizon for Robertson.
