Celtic are set to face Motherwell this weekend as Ange Postecoglou looks to maintain, or potentially even extend, his side’s 12 point lead at the top of the Scottish Premiership.

It is a game the Hoops will look to dominate and Motherwell ‘keeper Liam Kelly has admitted that it will be an extremely tough game for his side due to how good Celtic are and their desire to go into next Sunday’s Glasgow derby on a high.

He told the Daily Record:

“Celtic are a brilliant team and they’ll be keen to get maximum points before they break off for the semi-final game with Rangers, so we know how difficult it will be.”

Kelly’s mentality is that of the majority of players and managers who visit Celtic Park.

Particularly with the 27 year old, he knows all about the quality of the Hoops having lost all the games he’s played at Parkhead with Motherwell to an average score of 11-2.

This weekend, he will be looking to alter that record however Postecoglou and Celtic will have other ideas.

Nonetheless, Kelly is looking forward to what could be an enjoyable spectacle:

“We will go to Parkhead and look forward to what will be a great game to be involved in.”

As much as Kelly wants it to be a great match, Celtic will be hoping it is an enjoyable afternoon from their perspective.

If the Bhoys want to continue on their way to wrapping up the title as soon as possible, three points are necessary in the final pre split fixture.
