He made an impactful mark in his early Celtic days with crucial braces at Easter Road and Dens Park but over the past few weeks, Hoops number nine Adam Idah has been replaced in the team by Kyogo Furuhashi.

The Japanese hitman has been re-introduced to the lineup by Brendan Rodgers and grasped his opportunity, scoring five goals and setting up a further two in his last eight appearances.

His brace at home to Hearts on Saturday was clinical and earned him a deserved place in the latest SPFL Team of the Week.

Kyogo is keeping Idah out of the team, but that hasn’t stopped the Irishman from enjoying himself off the park.

It is good to see the Celtic players relax and recharge at such a key time in the season.

They can easily get caught up in the hype and fanfare of a title race – especially in derby week – but simply playing a round of golf can be hugely beneficial and in the case of Idah, the Parkhead faithful will be hoping it is.
