Hibs have received a massive snub from John Kennedy who didn’t even entertain a conversation with the Edinburgh club before turning down the notion he would leave Celtic.

Kennedy was linked with a move to Easter Road to replace Paul Heckingbottom last week and since it has become clear the Celtic assistant manager was one of the top names on their list.

They didn’t even get to state their case to Kennedy according to SunSport. The Celtic assistant just point blank turned any tasks down to keep focused on Celtic.

John has made himself a popular figure over the years at Celtic and with hard work he has found himself climbing the coaching ladder at the club.

There’s a chance down the line he could be handed the keys to Paradise himself but not for a while yet if Neil Lennon has anything to do with it.

Hibernian are a bit of a basket case club nowadays and any manager taking the job will have their work cut out.
