Neil Lennon will be licking his wounds this afternoon as his side never showed up against Livingston. With only one change to his starting line-up from Thursdays winning team, the manager picked his strongest team. This was a team that blew Cluj away only a few days ago.

Despite the strong team, Celtic were beating to a man today as the Livi players proved they wanted this win more. That will anger Lennon more than anything.

Ryan Christie got sent off for a needless challenge just before the half-hour mark and it was all downhill from there on in for the Bhoys.

Celtic managed to get down the tunnel at half time with the game goalless and a chance for the players to regroup after the sending off. But nothing changed in the second half as the Livingston players bullied their opposite numbers all over the park to come out on top with a 2-0 win.

The most worrying thing for Lennon will be the performance of his two central defenders. Both Ajer and Jullien looked like a shadow of themselves today with the French man bullied all afternoon and he lost the head on more than one occasion.

The red card for Christie means he will miss Celtic’s next two games against Ross County and Aberdeen. Luckily a fully fit Tom Rogic or Oliver Ntcham can fill in for the Scottish international.
