CELTIC will not be able to see their new defender Greg Taylor in action against Partick Thistle on Wednesday night because the player is cup ties from the previous round.

Taylor lined up for his old club Kilmarnock against Hamilton back in August when the Rugby Park side won 1-0 to advance to the quarter-finals.

It’s disappointing for the team and the player he can’t slot in and give Boli Bolingoli the night off. Taylor will have to wait until at least Saturday to get his first game for the Hoops.

So far the Celtic manager has shown no signs of dropping Bolingoli from the team and even put the player in against Kilmarnock on Sunday after admitting the player was struggling with an injury.

Greg was brought in on deadline day and is having to show patience. The player hasn’t kicked a ball for his club or country since August and he’ll be desperate to get going.
