Another Celtic youngster has been sent out on loan with the news Ewan Otoo has joined Clyde until the end of the season. This comes after last week when Luca Connell and Ryan Mullen joined Queens Park.

Otoo recently signed a new deal keeping him at the club until at least 2024 and will now go straight into Scottish Cup action tonight at senior level.

He is well thought of in the youth set up. The youngster was quoted on the Celtic website as saying:

“I hope to excel so I can feature prominently at the senior level.”

The defender will now get some first team competitive football and continue his development.

It’s good to see Celtic getting young players out there, even if it’s only briefly. Otoo has featured for Scotland at youth level but also qualifies to represent Ghana.

Celtic are heading into a summer of massive upheaval where any young player on the cusp of the first team will have a chance to impress and stake their claim for a place in a new look Celtic squad.

Otoo has a chance to get his name out there.
