Celtic defeated Buckie Thistle by five goals to nil in the Scottish Cup on Sunday afternoon. It was a complete performance from the Hoops whose scorers came from all over the park.

The deadlock was broken by Paulo Bernardo. His chip was followed by Odin Holm’s first goal in Hoops. Kyogo made it three before the break with Luis Palma and Rocco Vata making sure of a thorough victory in the second 45.

It was a day of positives for manager Brendan Rodgers who was delighted with his side’s display after nineteen days out of action due to the winter break.

As a result of their deserved triumph, the Celts advanced to the last 16 of the Cup. In the fifth round of the tournament, they have been drawn to face St. Mirren away from home.

The tie will take place on the weekend of 10/11th of February 2024 as The Bhoys aim to make it two Scottish Cups in a row, and gaffer Rodgers aims to triumph in the competition for the third time in his career.
