Celtic have been linked with German defender Moritz Jenz who is currently plying his trade in the Swiss top flight with FC Lausanne-Sport.

The former Fulham academy player is available according to Sunsport and Celtic have been alerted to that fact.

Jenz, 22, is a centre-back who can also play right-back and would be available for a fair price.

Celtic have just signed a centre-back in carl Starfelt, but the club needed a centre back before Ajer left the building. Starfelt takes Ajer’s place in the squad but there’s still room for another reinforcement, especially one who can double up as a right back.

This is a fairly new link, the club are working hard behind the scenes to get their targets in before the end of the window.

Ange Postecoglou has admitted Celtic need to be quicker in completing deals to make sure we have the best chance moving forward this season.

Starfelt and attacking signing Kyogo Furuhashi are both isolating ahead of joining their teammates next week. Could Menz be joining them soon?
