Brendan Rodgers has told Celtic fans Mikael Lustig is NOT up to speed enough to come back in for a Celtic tonight against Rosenborg.

The Swedish defender only returned to Lennoxtown on Monday but Rodgers has spoke of the fitness he demands of his players even when they are on holiday but the manager is taking no chances.

“He only joined on Monday so he can’t play the game on Wednesday. We have to build him, reintroduce him back into his fitness work and we’ll see his availability over the next couple of weeks.”

It was thought Lustig would come in at right back to soften the blow of losing Jozo to suspension and having no Boyata to call on.

Now the manager is set to go with Gamboa at right back with Hendry playing at centre back.
